Tee Ball Baseball

Tee Ball (League Age 4 - 5)

Tee Ball is a fun, beginner-friendly program for boys and girls who are just starting
out and want to learn the basics of hitting and fielding. Players hit the ball off a tee,
so there’s no pitching involved. The rules are relaxed and adjusted to focus on learning
and having fun. The main goal is to help kids build basic baseball skills while learning
about teamwork and sportsmanship. Games are played on a smaller, 50-foot field that’s
perfect for young players.

Team Information

Tee ball teams have approximately 10 players. LLL randomizes teams the best we can, while doing our best to honor requests to play with friends or a specific coach, but we cannot make any guarantees.

Team Practice

Tee Ball teams begin practicing in about mid-April. There will be 2-4 preseason practices; these may fall on any day during the week. Once the season begins, the normal practice day for this division is Saturday. Practices will run 45 min to 1 hour in length.

Team Games

Tee Ball teams play 1 game per week, on Tuesday evenings (6 total). Games start at 6:00 and run 1 hour in length. Games are scheduled against other LLL teams and no travel is required. Games are scheduled from late April through early June and are played at Brick Elementary School. In case of a cancellation due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the game as soon as possible.

Uniform and Equipment

Each player will receive a jersey, hat, and pants, which they may keep after the season. Each player needs to bring their own glove to practice and games. The League provides each team with a bat, tee, balls and helmets, although it is encouraged for players to bring their own bat and helmet if possible. Plastic cleats are not required, but recommended.
